FAQs ABOUT HOW TO ACCESS & USE

THE RED CROSS LEARNING CENTER

What happens after I register for a course?

Within 1-3 business days after registering for a course, our team will enroll you into the blended learning portion of the course in the Red Cross Learning Center. After being enrolled, we will send you a confirmation email with detailed instructions on how to access the online portion of the course. It is very important to check your email for the first few days after registering until you have received the confirmation email.

How do I access the Red Cross Learning Center?

This is one of our most common questions. After receiving the confirmation email from us stating that you have been successfully enrolled in the online portion of the course, you will receive an email from “Salesforce Automatic” with instructions on how to login to the Red Cross Learning Center and claim your account. It is important to read the instructions in full. Once you are on the Red Cross Learning Center login page, there is a short video you can watch about how to claim your voucher and begin the course. It is important to check your junk/spam folder as the email from Salesforce may end up in these folders.

Will my online progress be saved?

While your online progress should save automatically, there really is no guarantee that it will. We advise that you exit the course correctly and that you do not to let your computer die while on the online portion of the course. If your course does not save, there is nothing we can do as we do not control this part of the Red Cross Learning Center. We strongly recommend that you not wait until the last second to do the online portion. If your progress does not save and you do not have it completed before the in-person course session, you will not be permitted to continue in the course and will be subject to the refund guidelines set forth in our Terms and Conditions.

Should I take notes, and is there a test in the online portion of the course?

Yes! You should absolutely take notes throughout the online portion of the course. While you will be quizzed in each online module, you will be required to take a final quiz at the end of the online portion of the course. It is important to pay attention in each module as your are required to pass the final online quiz before attending the in-person course session.

In the Red Cross Learning Center, you will be able to access the Lifeguarding Manual, information about the course, your certificate after successful course completion and so much more! If you are still having issues accessing or using the Red Cross Learning Center after reviewing all of the instructions, please contact us right away. While we cannot guarantee that we will be able to resolve the issue, we will do everything we can to assist you. More often than not, the issue comes down to the type of email address that the participant lists during registration. This could include a wrongly typed email, or an email that ends in .gov, .edu, or .org. If we cannot solve the issue, we will terminate your registration and re-enroll you in the course with a different email address.

Do I have to finish the online portion of the course before the in-person course session?
